A couple weeks ago Ethan
started PreK...
I'm not entirely sure that I
actually realize how fast my
babies are growing.
Seems like yesterday he
was just learning to walk!
I catch myself daily making a
{minute by minute actually}
conscious effort to try to soak all of this in.
It is all too quickly fleeting.
Every now and then you meet someone you don't
know and they smile, and tell you to enjoy
these days, the days when my babies are home
under my roof, in my arms. It's easy to just brush them off
thinking, yeah, YOU try cleaning up the poop all over the floor
and wall that I cleaned this morning, or the entire bag
of cheerios that was dropped and spilled on the kitchen floor.
But isn't their wisdom so true? I love it when people
tell me that now, because I know that someday, that will be me.
One day when my precious babies are grown and gone.
I'll look at another young mother trying to
juggle life and wish that was me again.
I'm making an effort to make every precious
moment with them intentional!
This was a moment that I
wanted to always remember!
Tucking in my precious boy, before
his big first day of school!
{can he please please stay this way forever?
truck in hand, firetruck sheets...}
It is fitting that this is Ethan's very favorite book,
since Poppy has lots and lots of diggers and dump trucks
and motor graders and all of the other names that Mommy
doesn't know that Ethan does...even down to the model...
Perfect story to read before his big day!
The next morning I was cheerfully greeted by
this precious face!
{full of excitement and anticipation!}
The sisters looking adorable
in their new 'Mammy' shirts! :)
and one precious Bubbie!
he really wanted me to get a shot of his backpack!
he's so proud of it!
{such a big back pack for such a little guy!}
Abby's infamous rock where we always took
her before school pics in the morning last year!
leading the way...
about to be a preschooler...
there he goes...
Just Momma & baby girl!
what does a Momma do with just one baby all day?
we went to the park of course!
Ethan found this crown for S and gave it to her and
told her that she was the 'pwincess' while he was at
school...{I cant even handle this cuteness!}
and of course we had a lunch date with Daddy!
Here's a little side by side comp of all 3 kiddos on
their first day of PreK-4
precious babies!
and every day I take a pic of him before
school, bc I want to...and because I love being able to
see how he's growing!
and I must admit, dressing boys is
almost as fun as dressing girls!
Red Day in PreK!
This boy has my heart!
Proud of the sweet little boy he's growing to be!
Happy Weekend!

Your words were touching, as I struggle daily with not having my kids home everyday. True, I don't clean up poop any longer, but deeper issues are discussed and having your kids want your advice on life decisions is just as precious. Thanks for letting us peak into your life and relive those sweet moments of when our kids were little too.
