We just returned from an
absolutely fabulous
{seriously uh-mazing}
vacation in San Antonio!
We stayed at the
which was so so so awesome!
Go! Stay there! You wont be sorry!
You could stay at the resort all week long
and have plenty to do,
they have daily and nightly family friendly activities,
or if your going to not
do anything...you could do this...
My favorite spot!
They have 2 awesome kids play areas
{this one's the coolest...an old fashioned
wooden fort with an adorable matching playhouse!}
a lazy river...
our Families favorite!
{so relaxing!}
cool winding jogging paths to explore...
in the forrest...
that may lead to this secret spot!
{yes please!!}
The cool part about this resort, it was built in
the hill country so there's an abundance
of privacy and seclusion...trees and bushes everywhere!
our private balcony was completely private,
thanks to the surrounding trees!
{the view from our bedroom!}
The Beautiful Wild Flower Pavilion
{complete with 5 private firepits for family time,
or our fav-roasting marshmallows!}
Also the place where they have a
Fiesta every Wednesday & Saturday night,
fajitas, beer, margaritas, wine, and a marshmallow bar
complete with a dance party!
{Sophie's favorite...that girl's got moves!
I've never seen a 2 year old dance like her!
Cutie!}
{world's sweetest, most careful,
loving, kindhearted, big brother!}
He is always looking out for his baby sister!
Makes this Momma's heart so happy!
On Sunday morning the girls got to be...
yeah...every little girls' dream right?!
bubbles...is there anything they didn't think of?
Did I mention they did a sing along/dance along
when the parents arrived for pick up to
FROZEN?!?
My girls were in heaven!
decorating her own crown!
Snow White!
Sophie even loved her!
Popsicle fun on the patio!
Monday we went to Natural Bridge Caverns
It was so fun because we got to stay in our
car, and drive thru and see/feed the animals!
{my kinda zoo in the 100* temps!}
there were buffalo
goats...
Longhorns...{guns up!}
the kids fav...
Zebras
{aka Marty's (from Madagascar)}
how cool is that?
The highlight of our safari...
I was literally crying I was laughing so hard...
hilarious!
After our safari we went to explore the
Natural Bridge Caverns
{Ritchie was in heaven!}
Uh...I seriously cannot get over how lucky
I am that he's my hubby & my precious babies Daddy!
I've said it before...I'm sure I'll say it again...
#worldsbestdaddy
hiking up the 'huge last leg' thru the caverns...
I'm talking serious 'can't feel your legs burn'
whew! It was a workout!
What did we do after a long, hot day?
Lazy river of course...

I could spend all day here...

Up bright and early Tuesday morning, Ethan was
Super excited about 'Super Hero Day!'
Superman!
check out all of those super hero capes...
so many choices...
{Ethan chose blue!}
After we dropped Ethan off Daddy,
Sophie, Abby & I had a
hot chocolate/coffee date at JB's Backyard!
{the cool wooden fort play ground!}
Can this please please be in my back yard?!
my adorable Kindergartener!
{I am SO so not ready for this... :( sniff! }
Excuse my emotional rant...
back to Super Hero Day...
at the end of Super Hero Day the super heros
had a dance off with this crazy guy...
Ethan was hilarious...
He kept looking around, standing
perfectly still...not dancing...with his
hands in his pockets...
He thought that bird guy was a lunatic...
so so funny!
after the dance off he was all smiles again!
Mammy and her super hero!
Superman was glad to be back at our villa!
After super hero day we loaded up
and headed downtown for a bit of shopping!

The Tower of the Americas!

After the Tower of the Americas
we headed back to our resort to movie
night on the lawn!
This was another favorite! We did it almost every night!
Sunset view from our lawn spot!
Beautiful!
my boys poolside, just a floatin'
beach babes!
we spotted a raccoon family just across
the river from our cabana!
this poor baby got sick and stayed in bed
all day long on Wednesday :(
so so sad!
Glad it was only a 24 hr bug!
Wednesday night Poppy flew in!!! Hooray!
We took him to the Fiesta in the wild flower pavilion
for food, fun and dancing...Sophie style!
