Between Vacations!

We excitedly welcomed summer
with a trip of a lifetime to Disney World
in May,
followed by a week long stay
in Amarillo with sweet family and friends!
Then we escaped the summer heat
to our beautiful mountain retreat in Angel Fire
for the 4th of July!
I feel like I've been living out of a suitcase
all summer long!
{maybe just doing laundry all summer long!}
Here are the few sweet moments spent
at home in Fort Worth!

Pool fun with friends!

Ethan and his 'bff, Wade!'

A few weeks ago Emma, being the fabulous helper
and big sister that she is, asked if she could help me
by changing Sophie's diaper! Sweet big sis!
{I SO could get used to this!}

Lazy Saturday spent poolside with Daddy!

Goggles are a girls best friend!
{we can't go without them!}

My hot Hubs! And the cutest baby girl in the world!
{two of my favorites!}

Abby Beth the little fish!

Emma loves to lay out and warm up after a long swim!
{pre-teenager? I'm SO not ready!}

Ethan has finally started to love the water and swimming!
{4 years later...he has never been a fan of water! Happy day!}

Cutest crew around!
One lazy summer day we decided to head to the zoo
{before it hit 100*}

Emma & Kit!

Still cannot believe I've got a big 7 year old!

Abby Beth, almost kindergartner!

E + A + E  :)

checking out Baby Belle & Baby Bowie
{baby elephants at FW's zoo!}

they're seriously adorable!

They were celebrating Belle's Birthday
 the month of July!
{Sophie Belle and Baby Belle have a lot in common...}
Both are adorable, and loved by all!
Plus their birthdays are just a few days apart!
Sweet!

 Soph loved the giraffe's!

My sweet little growing monkeys!

If this girl wasn't decked out in a princess dress
with baby dolls in her arms I'm not sure we would
recognize her!

So...I saw this while pinteresting...
and decided...this was
the perfect new color
for our front door!

I do love red...but not for our front door...
pink brick + red front door...not the best combo...
so...I ran to Home Depot and picked up a quart
of this heavenly blue/green color!

before...

 during...

 and after!
what a difference!

I love how the shade of blue changes throughout the day!
{sunset here!}

joined in my morning quiet time with
my two favorite big girls!

there was a few days in July where the highs were
in the 70s...we soaked up ever.single.moment of coolness!

#cutestpigtailsever

Date night with the cutest boy in the world...

 seriously...so cute!
{I LOVE that his shoes are on
the wrong feet = so so cute!}

 silly faces!

I cannot believe how blessed I am to be
this little guys Momma! He is soft spoken {like Daddy}
smart, kind hearted, gentle, protector of his sisters, and
getting bigger every day! This Fall this sweet boy
starts PreK! I'm going to miss having him around,
but proud of the precious boy that he's growing to be!

Soph's favorite thing to do when we're outside...
climb around in Daddy's car!!

Typical trip to Lowes...

I was so in love with the color of my front
door that when I stumbled upon this gem at
a local antique store I just new that it would
be perfect for Emma & Abby!
before..

 and after I painted with my
 Chalk Paint from Old World Paints, check it out!
Seriously the easiest way to paint furniture, no sanded required!
This project only took a sample size paint from Home Depot and
a sample size of the Chalk Paint Additive! So for a few dollars, {like $7}
it's looks like a million bucks!
{I'm in LOVE!}

sweet Abigail!

LOVE theses sisters!

our sweet friends had us over for Sunday dinner,
it was absolutely delicious and such fun!
The girls with their adorable Ice cream mustaches!

I love waking up to these precious faces
every morning!

While driving by her sweet school the
other day Emma said "Mom, I miss school!"
I replied, "Aw, do you miss all of your sweet friends?"
She said, "well, yes, but really I miss learning everyday!"
{hello big girl moment!}
So after talking to Ritchie and sharing
that sweet story, we decided to start Emma
at Kumon to help propel her forward
and satisfy her thirst for knowledge!
We are so very proud of her and her
excitement to learn!
At Kumon you can do either math
or reading or both. We decided
to focus on math first, and maybe
switch after the first 6 months to keep her
on her toes!
You go 2 days a week for 30 minutes each.
The Kumon approach is different
than some, with Kumon they teach
you to be a self sufficient learner.
They give you your assignment,
you have 30 minutes to complete,
there is a 'guide' there to help if
needed, but they are not there to
'hold your hand' they are there to point
you in the right direction! You also have one
30 min home work assignment daily.
With 2nd grade fast approaching I'm
excited to see how this will help her
grow to be a life long learner!
She is such a smart girl!
I'm a proud Momma!

First day of Kumon!
Yay Emma Grace!

I'm going to miss this view...exactly 4 weeks from today
school starts...can you believe it?!

but...there will be lots more of this view!
Excited for more one on one time with this doll!

taking a stroll thru the park with their dolls!
{love my girly girls!}

Family Date night!
After a year of saying 'I wanna try that place', we finally
went to Movie Tavern!
We loved it, the seats were fabulous, everyone
had their own leather recliner and their own personal table!
Although I think that we will skip the meal there next time,
a bit overpriced and nothing special!
But definitely fun!

Big sister, little brother! Love them!

stud!

sweet big almost 2nd grader!

oh.my.goodness...i cannot get enough of her!

I LOVE finding theses
priceless notes around the house!
Sweet sisters!
