We've got some exciting news~
some of you may know, or have been
speculating from fb...
We are moving home, to Amarillo!
It's bittersweet.
We love FW.
We love Amarillo.
We prayed about it.
Knew that this was what God
wanted for our sweet family,
and loaded up the kids, new school
clothes, supplies and all and drove to
Amarillo to let Emma & Abby start the first
Amarillo to let Emma & Abby start the first
day at their new school. Instead of starting at our
beloved Lone Star, falling in love all over again
with everyone there only to move a month later.
Whew! Life has literally been a
whirlwind that past couple of weeks!
The Wednesday before school started
Ritchie got a call and an offer from
Pantex, {back home in Amarillo}
Let me back up a bit,
Back in July Ritchie got a call
from Pantex asking him if he wanted
to come interview the following week.
They worked out the details and Pantex
flew him in the following Tuesday for a
Wednesday morning interview.
The interview could not have gone better,
two of the people interviewing him had moved
from Keller to Amarillo to work at Pantex
{small world...}
AND they both were Texas Tech grads
{double whoa!}
Needless to say they had a lot in common!
They told him to expect to hear from them
in 1-3 weeks...
In Pantex time that actually meant 5 weeks...
Anyhoo, we went about our normal lives,
but in the back of our mind we dreamed
of the possibility of moving home!
We have missed our sweet little home town
since the day we moved to Lubbock,
and then to Keller!
Fast forward, 5 weeks.
We got a call, he was their 'top candidate'
and to expect an offer the following Monday
{YES, Monday, the 1st day of school Monday...}
Imagine my freak out...
The girls started school on Monday, had a great
first day and Tuesday Ritchie and I drove back to
Keller with E & S to start packing/decluttering/purging
and getting ready to list our house :(
We LOVED our little neighborhood and LOVED
our school. That has been, hands down, the hardest
part about this whole process! We loved the teachers, friends,
amazing principal. Lone Star is the best school in the world as far
as we are concerned. But we have dreamed of,
{and prayed for} the day that we could
move home closer to friends & family!
Everything so far has gone seamlessly.
Answered prayer.
The girls love their new school!
Ethan loves his new school!
Answered prayer.
We are so thankful for our parents
who have graciously opened their homes
to us while we are in the in-between stage of
selling our home/searching for our new home!
They've volunteered to be taxi drivers,
baby sitters and so much more and we could not be more
thankful to be blessed with such an amazing support system!
Answered prayer.
Ritchie has several more weeks in FW before he'll
be able to join us in Amarillo, for now
he is living for the weekends
when he gets to see us!
He's coming to Amarillo this weekend
and we cannot wait!
Here's a few pics of the first days/week of school for
Emma, Abby & Ethan!
Our back to school Mani/Pedi tradition with Mammy!
Precious Abigail on her 1st Day as a 1st grader!
{kinder and 1st graders have to wear tennis shoes
every day to school :( bummer!} we are adjusting!
Precious Emma Grace on her 1st Day as a 3rd grader!
{I still cannot believe that my baby is a 3rd grader ;(
when in the world did she get so big!}
Sweet sweet sisters who are pretty much inseparable!
morning cuteness!
and then there's this adorable little fella...
Ethan's 1st Day of PreK!
