6!

This year, for Abby's 6th Birthday,

we went on a staycation to Dallas

for the weekend celebrating all things Abby!

{a few of her favorite things :) }

A Birthday Bucketlist if you will...

unfortunately it was freezing...

so swimming lasted for about 5 mins

a warm bath was a must!

followed by popcorn and a movie night

there's no goin' back...ugh :/

next stop-

we met a friend from high school, 

his wife and adorable new baby, 

Archer for lunch!

I think Archer loved Ritchie...

and the girls loved him!

next stop on our 

birthday bucket list

Y'all-he's seriously the best Daddy & hubby!

Ritchie skated with the girls for a couple of hours

and the girls skated for another hour

{thats a grand total of 3 hours! whew!}

At the end of the day Ethan finally got up the 

courage to try to skate!

They went around a couple of times

and then we called it a day and headed

to dinner!

After dinner, 

we headed back to the hotel

and had another movie and popcorn night!

The next morning we got up

and went to breakfast at our new fav,

The Dream Cafe in uptown!

It is so worth it! Yum!

while we waited for our table,

we played!

after a delicious breakfast we rode the DART

to the State Fair!

he even picked out a big new 

Chevy truck for Poppy!

Emma found her first car...

He was as happy as can be.

next we made our way over to the

Texas Star

it was $40 for the 6 of us to ride. sheesh!

eh, I wasn't a fan, but Bubbie LOVED it!

she was worn.out. she never falls asleep 

unless she's in her bed now. 

after a fun day full of yummy food and fun rides 

we hopped back on the train and rode back

to our car and headed home!

what was the one thing that 

Abby hasn't stopped talking about...

a fish...Daddy surprised the crew

by stopping at Pets Mart on the way

home and letting the older 3 each pick 

a fish

On Miss Abby's real Birthday this
