The first day of school!
Summer ended, and school began!
I was dreading this day.
I was ready.
I was prepared, but not with
as much anticipation as my precious girls
one in particular...
my precious kindergartener.
she has dreamt about today since
she tearfully bid Emma farewell 2 years
ago on her first day of kindergarten.
{we cried together and missed
Emma together all day long!}
I've dreaded this day. Since that day.
Change is hard. On everyone.
Even a good change!
{mostly on this Momma bc I knew I was gonna miss
having my Abby Beth by my side all the day long}
Selfishly, I wanted to keep her this way forever.
Sweet, innocent, full of life, joy, happiness, kindness,
{LOVE}
We LOVE this girl!
Excited to watch her flourish and grow in to the
beautiful girl that Jesus made her to be!
But ya see, there's this other girl.
Sweet, kind, loving, generous, thoughtful, graceful,
Emma Grace.
HOW is she already a 2nd grader?
HOW?
Where'd the time go?
{ok, ok, enough of my emotional rant...
i think...}
Two excited little sisters awoke and
were ready to take on the day!
We ate a yummy breakfast
{sausage & egg casserole! YUM!}
And we were off to school!
but not before this Momma could get some
memorable photos!

Daddy's Kindergarten tradition continues with sweet Abigail,

and of course we walked back down and peeked in on our
sweet Abby Beth, and Ritchie finally made this tearful Momma
leave...it was hard. Leaving her. I never understood other Mom's talking
about how hard it was to leave your baby in the hands of another all day long
until I had to do it. It gets easier every day. But I miss my babies!

The day seemed to crawl by, but before we knew
it was 3:00!!

After we picked Abby up, we got our sweet Emma girl and headed
to take Emma to Kumon!
she has learned and grown so much
since we started Kumon!
Abby's first day of Aquakids swim class!
Ethan loved watching her!
she did so well on the first day that they moved
her up 3 levels to intermediate! yay Abby!
she swam 4 lengths of the pool in her little 30 min class!

In honor of the first day of school, chickfila was
giving away free 'icedream' cones! we totally hit that up!
we laughed bc R was the only 'big kid'
with an icecream cone!
