Last Fall Emma Grace
made one of the most important
decisions she'll ever make.
She chose to accept Jesus in to her heart
as her Lord and savior.
Simple as that.
Ritchie and I rejoiced for
our precious 6 year old had
made us the proudest parents ever!
More recently, a couple of months ago
Emma hopped in the car after church and
joyfully exclaimed, 'Mommy, Daddy, I wanna
be baptized!!!
She wanted to publicly profess her faith
in Jesus Christ as her personal Lord and Savior!
Ritchie and I just looked at each other and smiled.
Beaming with pride!
Easter weekend Poppy proudly
baptized his firstborn grand daughter
at Hillside in Amarillo!
There's nothing like the feeling I felt seeing
the pure JOY on her sweet smiling face :)
Emma wanted Bob to help baptize her too!
{Bob married us, is a family friend,
and was there when Emma was born!}
So thankful for you Bob!
As soon as Emma was baptized,
she climbed the steps out of the water,
jumped into my arms and said,
"Momma, Jesus is in my heart, I can feel him there and I'm so happy!!"
That sentence was a sentence I've waited her whole
life for her to tell me!
The day we found out we were pregnant with her
we began praying for her, for her life, for her precious
heart, and for the day she would utter those most precious words!
Thank you Jesus, she is yours!
And she is happy to tell the world about you!
A few poses with "Uncle Bob" and a Bible!
{I catch her reading it often, making my heart sing!}
These two...
I'd try to explain their relationship,
but, I cant. Its one like no other I've ever
witnessed. If you've been around it,
you know! Pure LOVE :)
Welcome to the kingdom of believers Emma Grace!
We are so very proud of you and look forward to the
things you will do for it!

And...
If that's not enough 'proud parent' moment...
here's another!
Every 6 weeks every teacher selects one student
from their class that has exhibited certain
'Honorable Character'
traits that they can 'earn' daily points for...
those traits are:
~responsibility
~self control
~orderliness
~service
~attentiveness
~honesty
~cooperation
~courage
~respect
~obedience
~diligence
~wisdom
~kindness
Each 6 weeks they have an
Honorable Character Assembly
for the students where each teacher
presents one student with the HC award.
The Monday before the HC assembly {on Friday}
It was hard keeping it a secret,
Emma asked me several times throughout the week
if Mrs. Vick had called me, or emailed me.
Emma asked me several times throughout the week
if Mrs. Vick had called me, or emailed me.
So very proud of her!
We absolutely LOVE Emma's teacher!
Sophie got the 1st hug!!
{After Momma of course :)}
...then Daddy!
they were proud of their sissy
She is so very proud of her sign!
Its been a big few weeks for our precious girl!
I could not be prouder, as a Mom.
I'm always caught off guard at Emma Grace's
wisdom. She is so keen and sensitive. I sometimes
forget that she's only 6 years old.
Today, as we were walking out of the store,
she stopped and picked some trash off of the ground.
Me, being a Mom, turned and told her ugh, why'd you just
pick up that trash {as I'm wrangling the other 3...}
She, kindly responded, "Momma, we should always help
people when we can!"
And, I smiled, and said, yes, we should!
Wise, precious, honorable, lovely, Jesus-loving girl!
So proud to call you ours!
We LOVE EGL :)
Train up a child in the way she should go,
And when she is old he will not depart from it.
